XAP-1440 Upgrade Instructions

Upgrade Instructions

Are you using a Wireless Controller? If not, skip ahead to Standalone AP Upgrade Instructions.

If you’re adding a Wireless Controller to an existing installation and the Controller won’t detect your access points, it may be that the AP is running version 4 or older firmware, or that it is not a Controller-compatible AP. To upgrade firmware, follow the Standalone AP Upgrade Instructions below. Visit the Controller Compatibility page for a list of Controller-compatible access points.

If your access point is currently managed by a Wireless Controller, do the following:

  1. Log in to your Wireless Controller.
  2. Select Admin and Auto Update to upgrade all managed access points

  3. Select the Choose File button and navigate to the firmware file you downloaded, then select Open.
